I dare you to find a more authentic city than New Orleans. I love everything about this place. In my opinion, this is the real city that never sleeps. There’s no pretense here. Just great food, killer music, which you can listen to past the sunlight coming up, and beautiful people. And by beautiful I mean their kindness and wanting you to just have a great time always shines through. The recent conversion of monasteries, banks, government buildings, and other historic monuments into stylish places to rest your head ( if you really ever rest it) has been a game changer. One such place, formerly Maison de la Luz now known as le metier located in the Wharehouse district has been my go-to place for a few years now. But you really can’t go wrong with any of these recent additions. Just get yourself to this city and let Les bon temps roulez.
